I was born a winter morning in the small medieval harbor of Vannes, in Brittany, from an old Breton stock. A couple of months later, my parents moved to Africa where we lived for many years. I was also lucky to live in the Indian Ocean later on, and to travel a lot and see many different places and peoples. Seeing other cultures is an invaluable experience that can open the eyes, the heart and the soul of anyone, in amazing ways. After going to boarding schools in Alex (Drôme, France), then Verdun (Meuse, France), I went to the Université de Haute Bretagne (in Rennes, France) to get degrees in history and geography, then to the Université de Beaulieu (also in Rennes) to get one in computer sciences. School and college were fun, immensely useful, and made me rich with life-long friends. |

I live in beautiful Boulder, Colorado, since 1990. It's a not-too-big city nestled at the feet of the Rockies, with streets starting in the prairie and ending in canyons. The corporate and housing developments of the past years between Denver and Boulder have somewhat marred the region, but Boulder has still very "green" policies that keep the city a nice place to live. Boulder is also home of the Colorado University, the Naropa University, the NIST (where the US atomic clock is kept), NOAA, and many other organizations. Since I've been in Boulder, I worked first and for many years at ILE (now part of LionBridge), then, after a couple of years at Sykes (now part of SDL), I joined the RWS Group, which became ENLASO Corporation in May 2004. |
