The city-state of Singapore is located in Southeast Asia. It commands the straits between Malaysia and Indonesia. Singapore has four official languages: Chinese, Malay, Tamil, and English. Most signs, in the subway for example, are written in all four languages. |

Willemstad is the capital of Curaçao,
one of the three "ABC islands" of the
Netherlands Antilles in the Caribbean Sea: Aruba, Bonaire, and Curaçao. In addition to tourism, the island economy relies on distilling crude oil imported from neighboring Venezuela. The original inhabitants, the Arawaks Indians were deported to work in Hispaniola by the Spanish. There are none left on Curaçao nowadays.
