In the region of Page, Arizona, the Antelope Creek has carved several slot canyons across the parched Navajo land. The most famous is probably Antelope Canyon. But there are others, and one of them is Canyon X, where the lights and shadows create wonderful sights as below:

Just south of the Utah border, in Arizona, lies the awesome landscape of the Monument Valley Tribal Park, made famous around the world by John Ford's movies such as "Stagecoach".

The vegetation in the area is sparse but enduring: due to the climate some of the piñon trees are over 300 years old.
